Planning application submitted - 50no. Apartments along the Walsall Canal

Following on from extensive pre-application consultation with Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, a full planning application has been submitted for the demolition of a former industrial building and the erection of a new apartment block along the Waterfront South development. The scheme takes architectural design cues from the historic vernacular creating a high quality waterside apartment living.

Planning application submitted bespoke new dwelling in Green Belt

Full planning has been submitted for the erection of a bespoke dwelling situated within Green Belt Land. The form has been derived from the low level nature of the former equine buildings that occupied the site. The split nature of these buildings are represented in the proposed form enhancing perceived β€˜openness’ within the rural setting.

Planning application submitted - 25no. Apartments within the Conservation Area

Following on from extensive pre-application consultation with Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council, a full planning application has been submitted for the conversion of a former nightclub within the Walsall City Centre. The scheme involves the full refurbishment and restoration of a Grade II Listed Building and extensions to create 25no. high quality apartments with a private resident’s courtyard. A traditional approach to materiality and form ties in the β€˜new’ elements with the existing heritage assets on site.

Listed Building - 27no. Apartments - Pre-application

A former nightclub within the Walsall City Centre, The Equator has been closed for a number of years. The redevelopment involves a change of use and retention/refurbishment of the historic assets within the site ensuring the rich character of the original buildings are embraced and enhanced within the new proposals.

The scheme is currently undergoing planning consultation with the Local Authority and it is anticipated that a Full Planning Application is to be submitted in September 2021.

Erection of 9 Apartments - Former ATS, Smethwick - Planning granted

Former ATS Garage, Smethwick, Birmingham - Recently submitted demolition of a former garage and the erection of a 3 storey residential development with associated parking and amenity. The design was based on mimicking the vernacular along the Smethwick High-street and looks to adopt a Mansard style roofline to accommodate the 2nd storey of accommodation. Each unit has private amenity in the form of a balcony and the tenure comprises of 1 and 2 bed apartments.

Works are due to commence within the third quarter of the 2021 with a 18 month build programme.

Planning approved - Park Hall

Park Hall - Recently submitted rear and double side extension transforming a character property into modern family home. The design is based on the use of traditional high quality materials and detailing in a contemporary fashion to compliment the original house The scheme will begin on site in the coming months. Bella Pais - Recently submitted rear extension within the Great Barr Conservation Area has been approved by Walsall Borough Council. The applicant will be looking to start the construction works in the coming weeks. Updates to follow.

Project case study

Works at Snaresbrook, London is now complete. After lengthy design consultations with the local water authority in regards to an existing culvert that ran through the site, the scheme has now been signed off and the structural recommendations agreed to ensure access and safety of the culvert whilst building works progressed and completed.

Planning approved - Greenbelt Site

Planning approval was recently approved for the development of greenbelt land. The site houses an existing derelict public house and associated car parking. After length planning consultations and consultant reports, the scheme was approved subject to conditions.
